Introduction

FrenchDoors.com (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is operated by Due Over LLC, a California limited liability company. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information you provide when you use our website at frenchdoors.com (the “Site”).

By using this Site, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree with any part of this policy, please do not use the Site.

Information we collect

Information you provide directly. When you submit a form on this Site, we collect the information you enter. On the quote request form, that is:

• First and last name
• Email address
• Phone number (required)
• The ZIP code of your project (required). We use it to look up the city, county, and state.
• Project type, door types and quantities, and timeline
• Whether you have an HOA (optional)
• Project details you choose to share (optional)
• Up to 3 photos of your doors or space (optional). Your browser converts each photo to JPEG before upload, which removes embedded location data. If your browser can’t convert a photo, the original file is uploaded as is.

The contact form collects your name, email address, subject, and message. Email signups on our resource pages collect your email address and ZIP code. If you apply to join our contractor network, we collect your name, company, license number, email address, door specialties, service areas, and any message you include.

Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, we automatically collect certain technical information about your device and browsing behavior, including:

• IP address
• Browser type and version
• Pages visited and time spent on each page
• Referring URL (the page you came from)
• Date and time of your visit

This information is collected through Google Analytics and standard server logs. We use it in aggregate to understand how the Site is used and to improve content. We also record the IP address of each form submission to prevent spam and abuse.

Records of consent. When you submit a quote request, we store your IP address, browser information (user agent), the date and time of your submission, the page you submitted from, and the version of the consent wording you were shown, together with your request. We keep this as a record of your consent to be contacted.

Cookies. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect usage data (see “Cookies and analytics” below). You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to alert you when cookies are being sent.

How we use your information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

• To connect you with a contractor. When you submit a quote request, your project information is shared with one experienced contractor in our network who is matched to your project type and location. We do not share your information with more than one contractor per submission.
• To respond to your inquiries. If you contact us through the contact form or by email, we use your information to respond to your message.
• To send occasional updates. If you opt in, we may send you relevant resources or updates about your project type. You can unsubscribe at any time.
• To improve the Site. We analyze aggregate usage data to understand which content is most helpful and how to make the Site better.
• To comply with legal obligations. We may process your information as required by applicable law.

How we share your information

With one exclusive contractor. The primary reason homeowners submit information on this Site is to be connected with a contractor. When you submit a quote request, your information is shared with exactly one contractor we’ve matched to your project. That contractor contacts you directly. FrenchDoors.com may also contact you about your request. If the contractor can’t help with your project, we may connect you with a different contractor at your request, one contractor at a time. We do not sell, share, or distribute your information to multiple contractors, lead aggregators, or marketing lists.

With service providers. We use third-party services to operate the Site, including site hosting (Cloudflare), form processing and storage (SiteGround), business email where we receive form notifications (Google Workspace), analytics (Google Analytics), and email list management (MailerLite) for email signups on our resource pages. These providers access your information only as necessary to perform services on our behalf and are prohibited from using it for other purposes.

For legal compliance. We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or court order, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights or the safety of others.

What we do not do. We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your information with advertising networks or social media platforms for targeting purposes. We do not share your lead with multiple contractors.

TCPA consent

When you submit a quote request, you agree that FrenchDoors.com and one contractor matched to your request may call or text you about your project at the phone number you provided, including by automated technology or prerecorded messages. FrenchDoors.com and that contractor may also email you about your request. This consent is not a condition of any purchase. Message and data rates may apply.

Withdrawing consent. You may withdraw your consent at any time by any reasonable means, including replying STOP to a text message, telling the person who calls you, or contacting us. We honor these requests, and when you withdraw consent through us, we notify the matched contractor within 1 business day.

Email signup. If you subscribe via an email-capture form on a national resource page, you consent only to receiving occasional email updates about door costs and planning resources from FrenchDoors.com. That signup is not a contractor match request and does not authorize phone or text contact from a contractor. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in each message.

Your rights as a California resident (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) gives you certain rights regarding your personal information:

• Right to know. You have the right to request information about the personal information we’ve collected about you, the categories of sources, the purposes for collection, and the categories of third parties we’ve shared it with.
• Right to delete. You have the right to request that we delete personal information we’ve collected from you, subject to certain exceptions.
• Right to correct. You have the right to request correction of inaccurate personal information.
• Right to opt out of sale. We do not sell personal information, so this right does not apply, but we will honor any such request if our practices change.
• Right to non-discrimination. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights.

Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use this Site. Google Analytics collects information such as how often you visit the Site, what pages you visit, and what other sites you used before coming to this Site. We use this information only to improve the Site. Google Analytics collects only the IP address assigned to you on the date you visit this Site, not your name or other identifying information.

The Site sets no other cookies of its own. The quote request form keeps a short list of the form steps you’ve reached in your browser’s session storage, so a page refresh doesn’t count a step twice. It holds no personal information and is cleared when you close the tab.

You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. You can also disable cookies entirely through your browser settings.

Affiliate links

Some pages on this Site contain affiliate links to third-party products and services. Clicking an affiliate link and making a purchase does not share your personal information with us beyond what you provide directly. On some pages, product images load directly from Amazon’s servers, so Amazon receives your IP address and browser information when you view those pages, under Amazon’s own privacy practices. Data retention

We keep quote requests, including any photos and the consent records described above, for four years after our last contact with you about your request, so that we can answer questions or complaints about how you were contacted. Information submitted through the contact form is retained for as long as needed to resolve your inquiry. Email-list subscriptions are retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion. You may request deletion of your information at any time by contacting us. We may keep the record of your consent where the law allows, to respond to a complaint or legal claim.

Security

This Site uses SSL encryption (HTTPS) for all data transmission. SiteGround, which processes and stores our form submissions, maintains industry-standard security practices including daily backups and server-level security monitoring. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children’s privacy

This Site is not directed to children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal information through this Site, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. If changes are material, we will make reasonable efforts to notify users. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
