Introduction

FrenchDoors.com (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is operated by Due Over LLC, a California limited liability company. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information you provide when you use our website at frenchdoors.com (the “Site”).

By using this Site, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree with any part of this policy, please do not use the Site.

Information we collect

Information you provide directly. When you submit a form on this Site — including the homeowner quote request form or the contact form — we collect the information you enter. This may include:

  • First and last name
  • Email address
  • Phone number (optional on most forms)
  • City or ZIP code
  • Project type and details (e.g., door type, scope of work)
  • Any other information you choose to include in a message or project description

Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, we automatically collect certain technical information about your device and browsing behavior, including:

  • IP address
  • Browser type and version
  • Pages visited and time spent on each page
  • Referring URL (the page you came from)
  • Date and time of your visit

This information is collected through Google Analytics and standard server logs. We use it in aggregate form to understand how the Site is used and to improve content — not to identify individual visitors.

Cookies. We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to collect usage data (via Google Analytics) and to remember your preferences. You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to alert you when cookies are being sent. Note that some features of the Site may not function properly if cookies are disabled.

How we use your information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • To connect you with a contractor. When you submit a quote request, your project information is shared with one experienced contractor in our network who is matched to your project type and location. We do not share your information with more than one contractor per submission.
  • To respond to your inquiries. If you contact us through the contact form or by email, we use your information to respond to your message.
  • To send occasional updates. If you opt in, we may send you relevant resources or updates about your project type. You can unsubscribe at any time.
  • To improve the Site. We analyze aggregate usage data to understand which content is most helpful and how to make the Site better.
  • To comply with legal obligations. We may process your information as required by applicable law.

How we share your information

With one exclusive contractor. The primary reason homeowners submit information on this Site is to be connected with a contractor. When you submit a quote request, your information is shared with exactly one contractor we’ve matched to your project. That contractor contacts you directly. We do not sell, share, or distribute your information to multiple contractors, lead aggregators, or marketing lists.

With service providers. We use third-party services to operate the Site, including web hosting (SiteGround), analytics (Google Analytics), and image optimization (ShortPixel). These providers access your information only as necessary to perform services on our behalf and are prohibited from using it for other purposes.

For legal compliance. We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or court order, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights or the safety of others.

What we do not do. We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your information with advertising networks or social media platforms for targeting purposes. We do not share your lead with multiple contractors.

TCPA consent

By submitting any form on this Site, you expressly consent to being contacted by a licensed contractor regarding your project. Contact may be made by phone, text message, or email at the contact information you provide. This consent is not a condition of any purchase. You may opt out of contractor contact at any time by emailing us at miriam@frenchdoors.com.

Your rights — California residents (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) gives you certain rights regarding your personal information:

  • Right to know. You have the right to request information about the personal information we’ve collected about you, the categories of sources, the purposes for collection, and the categories of third parties we’ve shared it with.
  • Right to delete. You have the right to request that we delete personal information we’ve collected from you, subject to certain exceptions.
  • Right to correct. You have the right to request correction of inaccurate personal information.
  • Right to opt out of sale. We do not sell personal information, so this right does not apply — but we will honor any such request if our practices change.
  • Right to non-discrimination. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at miriam@frenchdoors.com. We will respond to verifiable requests within 45 days as required by law.

Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use this Site. Google Analytics collects information such as how often you visit the Site, what pages you visit, and what other sites you used before coming to this Site. We use this information only to improve the Site. Google Analytics collects only the IP address assigned to you on the date you visit this Site, not your name or other identifying information.

We also use RankMath SEO plugin, which sets a small number of functional cookies related to site performance. No personally identifiable information is stored in these cookies.

You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. You can also disable cookies entirely through your browser settings.

Affiliate links

Some pages on this Site contain affiliate links to third-party products and services. Clicking an affiliate link and making a purchase does not share your personal information with us beyond what you provide directly. See our affiliate disclosure for details.

Data retention

We retain personal information collected through forms for as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected — typically the duration of an active contractor match plus a reasonable period for follow-up. Information submitted through the contact form is retained for as long as needed to resolve your inquiry. You may request deletion of your information at any time by emailing us.

Security

This Site uses SSL encryption (HTTPS) for all data transmission. Our hosting provider, SiteGround, maintains industry-standard security practices including daily backups and server-level security monitoring. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children’s privacy

This Site is not directed to children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal information through this Site, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. If changes are material, we will make reasonable efforts to notify users. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
